Ladakh & The Pashmina Nomads

 

Ladakh, high in the Himalayas… is surely the most magical of places to visit.  Cut off from the world for most of the year, the humble town of Leh, the capital of Ladakh is a place where modernity has yet to reach with its vast claws…  High above the tree line, with huge Buddhist monasteries perched into the rocky landscape… Ladakh has much to offer the contemporary world.

 

From Delhi we will fly to Leh, the largest town in Ladakh and from there visit the monasteries, and surrounding areas including spending a few days with the nomads, sharing their lives and experiencing a way of life that is in decline as the wheel of modernity forever turns.  Take this opportunity to question your world, to witness a life so simple, yet feeds the desires with its soft fibre to the richest of people on the planet…. How strange it is this world we live in.  By travelling and meeting people from other cultures gives us such wisdom, even though we may not have any more answers.
