Ladakh & The Pashmina Nomads

Ladakh, high in the Himalayas… is surely the most magical of places to visit.  Cut off from the world for most of the year, the humble town of Leh, the capital of Ladakh is a place where modernity has yet to reach with its vast claws…  High above the tree line, with huge Buddhist monasteries perched into the rocky landscape… Ladakh has much to offer the contemporary world.

In August 2020 we will base ourselves in Leh, the largest town in Ladakh and from there visit the monasteries, and surrounding areas including spending a few days with the nomads, sharing their lives and experiencing a way of life that is in decline as the wheel of modernity forever turns.  Take this opportunity to question your world, to witness a life so simple, yet feeds the desires with its soft fibre to the richest of people on the planet…. How strange it is this world we live in.  By travelling and meeting people from other cultures gives us such wisdom, even though we may not have any more answers.

"I spent months living and working in Ladakh on a remote farm, working the land, collecting water from the well, immersing myself in Ladakh culture... a truely remarkable experience..." Emma Price

"My first time with Emma & Val and the whole experience has surpassed all expectation.  The thing about this journey is that you are fortunate enough to experience this in a very real way, where you feel that you really get a glimpse into the real world of the country.  Emma has a gift for enabling you to experience the adventure and take in extra experiences that come along without any sort of stress.  I can never thank them both enough for our unforgettable journey with a unique opportunity to touch the country in such a rare way"   Jean Sept 2019.
